Additional information

Nanotechnologies utilize the novel properties of light and matter at nanoscale. Nanotechnologies concentrate on nanophotonics (semiconductor lasers, optoelectronics components, optical propertiers of nanostructured materials, and supramolecular photochemistry) and surface and nanomaterials science at TUT. The areas are very promising, emerging fields of scientific research and high technology industry nationally and globally. Innovations in these fields will enable new breakthroughs in 21st century communication-, transportation-, manufacturing- and information technologies as well as in life sciences. The focus of the major Nanotechnology is on the following three areas: 1. Molecular nanotechnology 2. Nanomaterials science 3. Optical nanostructures
