Registering your printing card

Tampere University and TAMK

To authenticate your identity at campus MFDs, you may use any of the following:  

  1. student card  

  1. staff ID card issued by Tampere Universities  

  1. Other RFID cards (such as Nysse travel cards for local public transportation)  

  1. Spider ID mobile application (downloadable from the Google Play Store and App Store)  

Register your ID card when you first use the campus MFDs  

  1. Swipe your ID card over the MFD card reader.  

  1. Enter your TUNI email address or TUNI username and password.  

  1. Select “Log in.”  

  1. After you are done, log out by pressing the Logout button or swiping your card again.  

  1. From now on, you can log in simply by swiping your card.   

Alternatively, you can use the Spider ID mobile application  

  1. Download the free Spider ID mobile application from the Google Play Store or the App Store.  

  1. Activate your phone’s Bluetooth.  

  1. Open Spider ID and position your phone close to the MFD.  

  1. Select “Start identification” in Spider ID.  

  1. Tap on the identifier of the MFD you wish to use.  

  1. Enter your TUNI email address or TUNI username and password on the MFD.
