Ambassador of Vietnam to Finland visited Tampere University of Applied Sciences
During the visit, Mikko Naukkarinen, the Service Director at TAMK, introduced TAMK and TAMK’s cooperation with Vietnam. For decades, TAMK has been building strong international networks. International partnerships play an important role in TAMK’s strategy by creating the perfect setting for cultural and knowledge exchange. TAMK has been active in cooperating with Vietnamese higher education institutions in research and innovation projects and created impact not only locally but also internationally.
Marika Vuorenmaa, Team Leader of HUBS, introduced HUBS, TAMK’s entrepreneurship education services.
“TAMK is a teaching-focused university, and our innovative pedagogics are always what we are proud of. In HUBS, we provide entrepreneurship education with modern pedagogics for all students,” Vuorenmaa emphasized.
TAMK's President Tapio Kujala and Vice President Ari Sivula also participated in the reception event.
”I see common interests and challenges of our two nations, and as a university, we would like to develop education and innovation solutions together with our Vietnamese counterparts,” Kujala said.
One of the most notable moments of the visit was when Ambassador Phạm Thị Thanh Bìn had the opportunity to meet a group of Vietnamese students pursuing English-taught degree programmes at TAMK. In total 10 students participated in the discussion, representing degree programmes in International Business, Environment Engineering, Software Engineering, and Media and Arts. This exchange of experiences served as a testament to the strong educational bridge between Vietnam and Finland, nurturing cultural understanding and academic growth.
“The two countries have been partners for long time, and Finland has been a very popular study destination for Vietnamese students. We hope to support the educational collaboration between Finland and Vietnam further,” concludes the Ambassador of Vietnam.
