Library services in the summer - more pick-up service points will open in June

It is important to remember that anyone who is showing respiratory symptoms must stay away from the campuses. This also applies to people who have been in close contact in the past 14 days with a person infected with the coronavirus. General security instructions must be followed in the library's pick-up facilities and transactions must take place quickly. Possibility for hand disinfection is available on site. In addition, safety clearances must be observed and gatherings of more than one person on the premises are prohibited.

The pick-up service points of the library are located in different premises in controlled areas.

• Linna pick-up service point will be opened in the first week of June in the Idea space next to the main entrance of the Linna Library. There is a separate entrance from the outside from its own, separate front door.
• TAMK Main campus pick-up service point will be opened in the first week of June to the main lobby on the Teiskontie side of the building. The TAMK Main campus pick-up service point is closed in week 26 (11. - 26. June 2020) due to selection tests.
• In Hervanta the pick-up service point will continue its service in the Campus Arena's 1st floor shortloan room in the same way as throughout the epidemic.
• All pick-up points are open Mon-Fri 8-16, Sat-Sun closed.

The due dates for all borrowed material are postponed to 12.8.2020. This applies to course books, short loans and all other material.

The last pick up dates for retrieving new reserved material have also been postponed until 12.8.2020.

Members of the Tampere University community (not including open university or open polytechnic students) can now order normally borrowed 14-day and 28-day loans with this order form. The loan periods for the books are normal during the summer and you can see the due date from the loan receipt you received in connection with the loan and from the Andor search service. Ordering and picking up books from the library's pick-up points is currently only possible for members of the University community.

The interlibrary service will be partially open to the staff of the Tampere University community as of 1st of June 2020. Interlibrary loans are not ordered from other libraries during the limited service period. Copies of articles may be ordered for University community and PSHP staff where possible. Make a remote service request using the online form and we will find out.

Copies of articles from electronic journals can be sent to other libraries. Interlibrary loans or copies of articles from paper journals will not be sent to other libraries during the limited service. There is a summer break in interlibrary loan service from 29th of June to 31st of July 2020.

The library's chat service is available to you online in the summer on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm.

The library services are on a short summer break in the summer. Pick-up points, chat service and telephone services will be closed from 6th of July to 19th of July 2020.

In spite of the closure of the library premises, all of the library's online services will continue to function normally.
