The 1st floor of the Library’s Linna unit will be renovated during the end of summer and early autumn.

The renovation will start later in the summer, but we will start preparing the premises for the renovation already in June. The current returns machine will be replaced by another machine during the renovation and the local customer service will temporarily move to the 2nd floor. The course book collection will be available on the 1st floor during the renovation, otherwise the library facilities on the 1st floor will be a construction site.

The group study room Kaarna on the 3rd floor will be unavailable for student use. Otherwise, the renovation will not affect the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library.

The renovation work will involve demolition and construction work, so there may be noise on the upper floors of the library too. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The space changes are part of the Linna development project, which you can read more about on the Tampere Universities intranet (requires login). We will provide more information about the exceptions caused by the renovation as work starts and progresses.
