To mark the UN Orange the World campaign, iconic landmarks and buildings around the world will be illuminated in orange. The Main Building on the city centre campus will also be bathed in orange by the light art “Universitas” by artist Charles Sandison, which is projected onto the facade.

The UN Orange the World campaign is a global initiative to raise awareness of violence against women and girls. The colour orange symbolises hope for a brighter future and a world free from violence.

The Orange the World campaign will begin on 25 November, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The campaign will conclude on the International Human Rights Day on 10 December.

The Main Building on the city centre campus (address: Kalevantie 4) will be illuminated in orange between 25 November and 10 December from 17:00 to 23:00.
