Learn basics of modeling physical phenomena by differential equations and solving them.

Content

1. Solution of a linear, homogeneous system of differential equations by matrix methods. Phase portraits.      
2. Transformation of nth order scalar differential equation into first order system.      
3. Solution of inhomogeneous equation with external force term.      
4. Introduction to nonlinear systems, stability, and chaos.
