Tax Systems Research CoE to Tampere University – University also involved in three consortia
The CoE in Tax Systems Research, led by Professor Kaisa Kotakorpi, was selected for the 2022–2029 programme, in which its partners are Professor Jaakko Harju’s research group at Tampere University, VATT Institute for Economic Research and the University of Helsinki.
In addition, Tampere University’s research groups will participate as partners in the following consortia (coordinating university in brackets):
- Professor Arri Priimägi: Life-inspired Hybrid Materials (Aalto University)
- Associate Professor (tenure track) Paavo Rasilo: High-Speed Electromechanical Energy Conversion Systems (Aalto University)
- Assistant Professor (tenure track) Matti Rissanen: Virtual laboratory for molecular level atmospheric transformations (University of Helsinki)

The call for Finnish CoEs attracted a total of 184 letters of intent. Of these, 34 applications were invited to the second call stage.
A CoE is a research community that is already at or striving for the international cutting edge of research in its field.
