Tampere University maintains its position in THE ranking
THE ranking comprises more than 2,000 universities across the world. This year, 185 new universities were included in the list. Tampere University was ranked in the positions of 301-350, which is the same as last year. For the second year running, Tampere University got its best points for business cooperation.
In the ranking, cooperation with businesses (industry) means external research funding received from companies and patents that have been innovated in research.
THE World University Ranking includes 10 Finnish universities; Tampere shares the fourth place with the University of Turku.
The indicators used in the comparison measure universities’ teaching, research, industry cooperation, and internationality.
The University of Oxford came first in the THE ranking.
